An Essay on the Symbolic Language of Dreams

An Essay on the Symbolic Language of DreamsIn this excerpt from an essay on the symbolic language of dreams, the writer explains how he became aware of dream symbols and the meanings behind them. He points out that the dreams we experience each night have some significant meaning that is more than a coincidence. There is a hidden message embedded in our unconscious mind, which we must decode before we can understand why they happen, and what they mean. When we dream, we are looking inward, using language that is designed to communicate with ourselves, with our subconscious mind. Many people do not believe that we can communicate with our inner mind, that it is not part of our soul. Yet, to them, these inner conversations take place through dreams. In fact, the dream master, a person who has the ability to communicate with the inner mind, has been known to experience unconscious dreams. Our consciousness has to be at a point in the process of creating a new concept in order for this co mmunication to take place. In many cases, the person who dreams a particular dream will often use it as an aid to the writer in their writing career. Their dreams might help them learn new words, new meanings, or the right attitude for a given situation.Words and meanings are indeed a form of magic. When we dream, we are using words, writing on our unconscious mind and calling out to our conscious mind to decipher what we are saying. We might even call the unconscious mind to help us decide what to write and whether or not to write at all.To grasp what is said in the dream, there are some common phrases that occur often in our dreams. This is because there are some common archetypes that are common to the many dreams wehave. For example, the dreamer might find themselves in a beautiful or magical place that he or she is in love with. They might also be in a terrible or dangerous place, perhaps filled with fear and death. The writer might be in the body of someone who is an enemy of th e dreamer, someone who hates him or her or has bad intentions. Or the writer might be in another world, a physical place that is not his or her own, though it was taken away from him or her.One of the reasons why many people struggle to understand what symbols mean is because they are unable to read the symbols clearly in their dreams. But once they learn to read the symbols in their dreams, they begin to see the different pieces of the puzzle. We all know about the strange pictures in the mind, the messages that are being written all over the brain, but this does not mean that all the symbols are consciously written, or that they are being read in the dream. In fact, you might say that all the symbols and images are left alone in the mind, and that the words and meanings are just common parts of the pattern being used by the mind to create a mental image. So in other words, everything we see is more than what we consciously write. But in order to open up your mind to this phenomenon , you must learn to read symbols in your dreams. Once you know the meanings of the symbols, you can understand all the symbols, and therefore everything that is going on in your life.
